Prof. Kim Kah Hwi obtained his Ph.D. in Neurophysiology from Gifu University in Japan and has since dedicated over 30 years to teaching as a Professor of Physiology at the University of Malaya. Over the course of his career, he has accumulated an impressive record of innovation, holding 17 registered patents with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia. His contributions to biomedical science have been recognized globally, earning him 102 innovation awards from countries including Malaysia, Switzerland, Taiwan, Korea, Russia, and Thailand.

As a biomedical advisor to Wellous, Prof. Kim brings unparalleled expertise, combining decades of academic knowledge, groundbreaking research, and a wealth of international recognition. Prof. Chai Lay Ching

Wellous’ Food and Microbiology Advisor, holds a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and is the Vice President (Education) at Sunway University. With over a decade of teaching at the University of Malaya, she has built strong expertise in microbiology and food safety.

She also serves on national and regional committees under MOSTI, the Ministry of Health, and ASEAN, while leading the Malaysian Young Scientists Network. Prof. Chai is a recipient of the 2018 L’Oréal-UNESCO Women in Science Award and the 2022 Young Female Scientist Award, recognizing her leadership in science and her contributions to advancing women in STEM.

Dr. Amir Farid Isahak received his medical degree from the University of Queensland, Australia, and is a qualified obstetrician and gynecologist. He further pursued professional training at the National University of Singapore and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London. With more than 10 years of experience as a health columnist for The Sunday Star, Dr. Amir brings a wealth of clinical expertise and a strong passion for public health education to his role as Wellous’ Medical Advisor.

She holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Technology from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and brings with her more than a decade of expertise in the research and development of drugs and nutritional supplements. Her work spans across various bioavailability and bioequivalence (BA/BE) studies, ensuring that products meet rigorous scientific standards. In addition, Dr. Sandy has contributed extensively to the scientific community as the author of numerous internationally peer-reviewed publications, reflecting her strong commitment to innovation and evidence-based product development.

Mr. Ray Yap holds a Master’s degree in Pharmacology from the University of Strathclyde, UK. He began his career in clinical settings, training as a provisional pharmacist at Hospital Pakar Sultanah Fatimah Muar from 2011 to 2013. In 2009, he conducted research on pharmacotherapy patient care in both the UK and Malaysia.

Since 2014, he has served as a Senior Pharmaceutical Technology and Research Pharmacist, specializing in pharmaceutical and nutritional product development. With over 12 years of hands-on experience, Mr. Yap has contributed significantly to advancing product innovation, research, and scientific development in the field.

Dr. Lin Chih-Feng

Dr. Lin Chih-Feng holds a Doctor of Medicine from the National Defense Medical Center and a Master’s Degree from Hunan University of Chinese Medicine. With a specialization in Internal Medicine, his expertise spans digestive and metabolic diseases, acute and chronic hepatitis, nutrition and weight management, as well as regenerative medicine and cell therapy.

He currently serves as Chief Physician at several leading medical institutions in Taiwan, including Shuang Ho Hospital under the Ministry of Health and Welfare. He is also a Specialist Physician at the Taiwan Society of Internal Medicine and the Taiwan Society of Gastroenterological Endoscopy. In addition, Dr. Lin is an active member of professional organizations such as the Taiwan Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, contributing his knowledge to advance medical care for aging populations.

Dr. Rizki Nasution earned his Bachelor of Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine, UGM Yogyakarta. He currently serves as the Head and Implementing Doctor at the Griya Az-Zahra Pratama Clinic, as well as the Responsible Doctor for the in-house clinic of PT HM Sampoerna Tbk.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Rizki is actively involved in medical management under the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI). He is also a sought-after medical health speaker and trainer at PT HM Sampoerna Tbk, and contributes as a committee member of the Indonesian Family Doctors Association.

Dr. Phan Chia Wei

Dr. Phan Chia Wei holds a Ph.D. in Medical Biotechnology from Universiti Malaya (2012–2015) and currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the same institution. He also contributes as the Honorary Treasurer of the Young Scientists Network–Academy of Sciences Malaysia (YSN-ASM) for the 2024–2026 term.

Since 2018, Dr. Phan has been an EXCO member of YSN-ASM, where he chairs the Science Media Working Group and co-chairs the Science Outreach Working Group. His expertise in medical mushrooms has also earned him a place on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Medicinal Mushrooms, where he continues to advance research and knowledge in the field.
